About the Icelandic Soroptimist Week
For the eleventh time, the club of Hafnarfjordur and Gardabaer announces the very popular "Icelandic Soroptimist Week." This one week in Iceland has been offered to Soroptimist sisters all over the world since 1989. Every year we get many requests to continue and therefore we are very happy to offer this unique experience once more in the summer of 2009.
You will get the chance to visit some beautiful places in the South-West area of Iceland. That includes going into the mountains and out to the sea. Take a look at the map to get an idea of the places you will be visiting.
We will be offering you accommodation in a modern school building. You will be sleeping on mattresses, 6-8 persons per room. During the trip into the mountain area you will be sleeping in mountain huts. You will need to bring a sleeping bag.
The club sisters will be participating all the time, i.e. cooking your meals and joining you on the trips and other events.
Please note:
- Participants are most welcome to bring companions, husbands, children and friends.
- Participants will have to arrange their own flights to and from Iceland. Look for special offers.
- Participants are responsible for their own travel insurance.
- The maximum number of participants will be 40. First come first served.
