President's message

Dear Soroptimists

Soroptimists in Iceland are very pleased to invite Soroptimists from the Nordic countries, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to the Nordic days which will be held at Grand hotel in Reykjavik from 6th to 8th June 2008.

The theme of the meeting is Transforming lives – empowering women and girls. The questions addressed will include – how can women develop leadership skills to help them in their personal life as well as their professional life and how can we assure women’s advancement in management, politics and decision making.

The programme includes a series of lectures on the Saturday and launching of a human trafficking project run by all the Nordic Soroptimist Unions. On Friday 6th of June there will be a reception at the beautiful Kopavogur Art Museum - Gerdarsafn in a neighbouring town of Reykjavik.

Conference language will be English.

We look forward to welcoming you in Reykjavik in June 2008.
